Sports Resource - Team New York

Team New York (TNY) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization that has been a community resource network for Lesbian, Gay Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) athletes, artists, sports & cultural organizations, and their friends and supporters for over twenty-five years.

Team New York was inspired by the 15 New Yorkers who attended Gay Games I in San Francisco in 1982. The organization was formed soon after, and helped almost 300 lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) athletes and artists from metro-NY participate at Gay Games II in 1986. A non-profit 501(c)(3) and an all-volunteer organization, TNY has been dedicated to facilitating similar participation in the quadrennial Gay Games and OutGames ever since.
